About our members
For many of our members, presenting a programme is one of the most rewarding parts of being involved with Radio Marsden.
Becoming a member of Radio Marsden is an opportunity to share your love of music, develop new skills and bring companionship, entertainment and a sense of normality to patients and their families.
Whether you enjoy introducing your favourite songs, researching music and artists, or simply knowing that your programme may brighten someone’s day, broadcasting can be a uniquely rewarding experience.
Being part of Radio Marsden doesn’t have to mean being behind the microphone. There are plenty of ways to get involved.
If you enjoy meeting people, you might like being one of our request collectors, who visit the wards to chat with patients and find out what music they’d love to hear on our evening Request Shows.
Or perhaps you’re skilled in marketing, social media, or you have project management skills or are familiar with the technical side of broadcasting? Whatever your strengths, there’s a role for you here.
